Transtejo "S. Paulus" – Scheel & Jöhnk Schiffswerft

Tour boat operated by Transtejo in partnership with Carristur seen on the Tejo River heading for the Terminal de Cacilhas , Almada , in July 2019. This tour boat, named S. Paulus and registered LX-3174-TL, is completed by the Scheel & Jöhnk Schiffswerft in 1959, yard number 413. Steel hull and superstructure. It has an overall length of 92.4 ft and can accommodate 275 passengers. It initially uses a Deutz RV 6 M 536 main engine and a fixed pitch propeller, reaching a top speed of around 10 knots. In 2010, that engine is replaced by the MTU 12V 183 TA from the ferry Mouraria . This tour boat is originally a Typ IIIc ferry operated by HADAG, the Sülldorf , renamed St. Pauli in 1978. Delivered in 1959, it is used in Germany for services in the Hamburger Hafen (Port of Hamburg) and in the Unterelbe area (Lower Elbe). After arriving in Portugal in 1996, it is renamed S.
