Casa do Concelho de Ponte de Lima – Irizar Dragón

It can accommodate 77 seated passengers and uses the Scania K113TLA chassis possibly equipped with the 265 kW (360 hp) Scania DC11 engine. Established in 1987 and based in Lisboa, Casa do Concelho de Ponte de Lima promotes the rich history, culture and tradition of this Portuguese region. Here, we see this Irizar Dragón waiting for the " rancho folclórico ", or folk dance group, during a cultural event in downtown Lisboa. Available from 1985 to 1996, the Irizar Dragón is a rare incursion of the Basque manufacturer into the double-deck typology. It is presumably based on the Everest, available from 1981 to 1990 and replaced by the much acclaimed Century in 1989.
