CP 1964 – Bombardier MXS-627

Diesel-electric locomotive operated by  CP   ¹  seen at Porto–Campanhã station , on the Norte line , in January 2010. CP 1457 – English Electric/SOREFAME LD 844 C

Diesel-electric locomotive operated by  CP   ¹  seen at Lisboa–Santa Apolónia station , on the Norte line , in December 2008. This diesel-electric locomotive with fleet number 1457 is built under license from English Electric by SOREFAME   ²  in 1967, construction number 0634, included in a series of 57 units placed in service by the Caminhos de Ferro Portugueses in 1967–1969. These units are closely related to the BR Class 20 . Overall length (buffers) is 41.7 ft. This locomotive uses a 1022 kW (1370 hp) English Electric 8 CSVT  "V8" diesel engine and four English Electric 548/3A electric traction motors.
