These FUTURE MEMORY | TRANSPORTATION slideshows are provided as an easy, lighter way of reviewing some contents previously shared on this page and they are, in my opinion, better suited to younger viewers. They contain images of transportation vehicles seen mainly in Lisboa, Portugal, and are uploaded for historical research and educational purposes. ●  Buses and Coaches 03 On this 2'28" slideshow, you’ll find among many others, images of some old timers such as the Irmãos Mota Atomic UR 95 or the Setra S 215 UL, a Tschu-Tschu TD in a picturesque setting and a lovely horse-drawn wagonette.




●  Buses and Coaches 04 On this 2'28" slideshow, you’ll find among many others, a fair number of open-top sightseeing double-deckers, as well as interurban and touring coaches, such as the rare and impressive Irmãos Mota Atomic 9 or a peculiar Solaris Vacanza 13 visiting Lisboa.




●  AEC Routemaster RML Ex-London Transport RML 2723, adapted for mobile events and advertising functions, operated by PartyBus, travelling along the southern Portuguese countryside in June 2026, during the "3rd Classic Car Rally" promoted by the Clube Ás. Rodonorte 347 – Irmãos Mota Atomic V

Coach operated by Rodonorte seen at Gare do Oriente, Lisboa, in August 2012. This coach with fleet number 347 is an Irmãos Mota Atomic V registered in 2004. It has an overall length of 39.4 ft and can accommodate 49 passengers (49+1+1). It uses the Mercedes-Benz OC 500 RF chassis. Based in Vila Real , Rodonorte operates regular services, regular specialized services, and occasional services. The history of this operator starts with the Cabanelas company, formed in 1865. After a long and interesting history, it becomes Rodonorte in 1992 and part of the Santos group in 2004. Here, we see this Irmãos Mota Atomic V enjoying a break, possibly on the Bragança–Lisboa–Bragança regular express service. Note the interesting combination of rearview mirrors. Published data on the Irmãos Mota Atomic V is scarse, but, as we can see, it is based on the first generation ( facelifted , 1999–2006) Mercedes-Benz O 350 Tourismo (RHD). MTS C006 – Siemens Combino Plus

Light rail vehicle operated by MTS seen at Jardim da Quinta da Água, Corroios, in March 2026. This light rail vehicle with fleet number C006 is a Siemens Combino Plus completed in 2005. It features a four-section articulated body and low-floor. With an overall length of 119.3 ft, it can accommodate 74 seated passengers and 237 standees (74+237+1). SKA seats. Bi-directional operation. Fed via pantograph by 750 V DC, this light rail vehicle uses six 100 kW (136 hp) traction motors. Wheelset arrangement is Bo'Bo'2'Bo'. Track gauge is 4 ft 8 ½ in. Top speed is 43 mph. As a note of interest, the Combino uses independent wheels driven by motors and transmissions mounted longitudinally on the outer faces of the Siemens SF 30 bogies, one set for every two drive wheels. Ferrocarril de La Robla 207 – SECN

Diesel-hydraulic locomotive formerly operated by Ferrocarril de La Robla seen at the premises of the Basque Railway Museum in Azpeitia in October 2008. This diesel-hydraulic locomotive with fleet number 207 is built under license from the Yorkshire Engine Company (YEC) ¹ by the Sociedad Española de Construcción Naval (SECN) in 1965, included in a series of 8 units (FR 201–208) placed in service by the Ferrocarril de La Robla in 1966–1967. Overall length (buffers) is 23.4 ft. This diesel-hydraulic locomotive uses a 161 kW (219 hp) Rolls Royce C6 TFL "L6" diesel engine. Weight in service is 33.5 t. Wheelset arrangement is C  ²  (wheels with coupling rods) and gauge is 3 ft 3+3⁄8 in. Top speed is approximately 19 mph. This switcher (or shunter locomotive) was occasionally used in light freight and passenger services. Between 1965 and 1967, SECN supplied 29 of these units to six Spanish operators.
