Renfe 592-207 – MACOSA–ATEINSA/TCR de Valladolid

Diesel-hydraulic multiple unit operated by CP seen at Mafra station on the Oeste Line in May 2019. This diesel-hydraulic multiple unit with fleet number 592-207  ¹  is a MACOSA–ATEINSA  ²  build, rehabilitated by the TCR de Valladolid. It is owned by Renfe (or Renfe-Operadora) and operated by CP (Comboios de Portugal) on a lease basis. With an overall length (couplers) of 230.4 ft, they can accommodate 200 seated passengers (64+72+64). Each motor unit uses two 250 kW (340 hp) MAN D3256 BTXUE  ³  diesel engines driving two Voith L211r hydraulic transmissions. Nominal output is 1000 kW (1360 hp). Weight in service is 131 t. It can run in multiple units, up to 3 units. Wheelset arrangement is 1'A' A'1'+2' 2'+1'A' A'1' and gauge is 5 ft 5 21⁄32 in. Top speed is 87 mph. CP 2271 – SOREFAME/Alstom

This electric multiple unit with fleet number 2271+2271+2271 (DT1+M+DT2)  ¹  is a SOREFAME/Alstom build, included in a series of 57 triple-units placed in service in 2003–2005. It results from the rehabilitation of the CP 2100-, 2150- and 2200-series manufactured in Portugal in 1970–1984 by SOREFAME. With an overall length (couplers) of 231.3 ft, they can accommodate 264 seated passengers (79+106+79) and 2 passengers with reduced mobility. Under normal load, they admit 163 standing passengers. Fed via one Schunk WBL85 pantograph by 25 kV, 50 Hz, this electric multiple unit uses a Pawels T-25KVM transformer and four Alstom 4 EXA 2146B traction motors in the motor unit, two per bogie. Nominal output (wheels) is 960 kW (1305 hp) and starting tractive effort is 106 kN (10809 kg). Weight in service is 135.7 t. It can run in multiple units, up to 3 units. CP 0466 – SOREFAME/EMEF-GOP

This diesel-hydraulic multiple unit with fleet number 0466+0466 (M+T)  ¹ , motor unit in the foreground, is a SOREFAME/EMEF-GOP build, included in a series of 19 double-units placed in service in 1999. It results from the rehabilitation of the CP 0400-series manufactured in Portugal in 1965–1966 by SOREFAME. With an overall length of 170.5 ft, they can accommodate 164 seated passengers, 40 of these in first class. The motor unit uses two 298 kW (405 hp) Cummins NTA855-R3 diesel engines and a Niigata Converter CO hydraulic transmission. Nominal output (wheels) is 493 kW (671 hp) and starting tractive effort is 83 kN (8500 kg). Weight in service is 92.7 t. It can run in multiple units, up to 3 units.
