Mafrense 0252 – Irizar PB

Coach operated by Mafrense seen arriving at the Terminal do Campo Grande, Lisboa, in May 2017. This coach with fleet number 0252 is an Irizar PB registered in 2007. It has an overall length of 42,4 ft and uses the MAN 18.410 HOCL chassis with the 301 kW (410 hp) MAN D2866 LOH engine. Based in Mafra , in 2017 Mafrense, or Empresa de Viação Mafrense, operates regular services in the municipalities of Mafra, Sintra, Torres Vedras, Loures, and Lisboa, as well as regular specialized services and occasional services. Here, we see Mafrense 0252 arriving in Lisboa on a regular service, displaying a curious paint scheme, dominated by a huge butterfly in corporate colors on the sides. Empresa Gavilanes – Noge Titanium

Coach operated by Empresa Gavilanes seen on Alameda Edgar Cardoso, Lisboa, in March 2011. This coach is a Noge Titanium HDH registered in 2009. It uses the MAN 18.480 HOCL chassis with the 235kW (480hp) MAN D2676 LOH engine. Based in Xunqueira de Ambía (Ourense), Empresa Gavilanes ¹ starts its activity in 1945. In 2011, it operates regular specialized services and occasional services with a fleet of 18 vehicles. Here, we see this splendid Noge Titanium away from home during a break on an occasional service.  Presented as a prototype in the 2004 "FIAA" ² , in Madrid, and available to operators since 2005, the eye-catching Noge Titanium can be matched with various chassis, in lengths from 40 ft to 49.2 ft, accommodating up to 71 passengers (71+1+1). In some contexts, the suffixes "HD" and "HDH" are found in the designation—they indicate the nominal height of the vehicle, 11.3 ft or 12.1 ft. In the image we see a HDH. Isidoro Duarte 328 – Alfredo Caetano Tétis

With its origins going back to 1923 and based in  Milharado , in 2016 Isidoro Duarte  ¹  operates regular services, regular specialized services and occasional services. Douro Acima – MAN SD 202

Double-deck sightseeing bus operated by Douro Acima/CitySightseeing seen at Praça dos Restauradores, Lisboa, in June 2016. This double-deck sightseeing bus is a MAN SD 202 first registered in 1992. It is presumably the ex-3943 (BV 3943) of Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (Berlin) ¹ . It has a  Waggon Union  body ² and an overall length of 37.6 ft. In service with Douro Acima/CitySightseeing, it can accommodate 76 seated passengers, 13 standees, and 1 passenger with reduced mobility (76+36+1PRM+1). It uses the 150 kW (204 hp) MAN D2566 UH engine.  This MAN SD 202 is part of a batch of 40 double-deck D-type buses ³ delivered to the Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) in 1992, designated D 92 and numbered 3928–3967. Upon completing their service with BVG, some of these buses were sold and modified for sightseeing services by private operators, such as Douro Acima in Portugal. LDT Transports et Voyages – Otokar Vectio T

It has an overall length of 32.8 ft and uses the 213 kW (290 hp) MAN D0836 LOH engine. Established in 2014 and based in La Châtre , LDT Transports et Voyages ¹ operates regular services, regular specialized services and occasional services. Here, we see this Otokar Vectio T visiting Lisboa on an occasional service.  Created in 1963 and based in Arifiye, Turkey, Otokar ² initially produces buses under Magirus-Deutz license.
