Empresa Gavilanes – Noge Titanium

Coach operated by Empresa Gavilanes seen on Alameda Edgar Cardoso, Lisboa, in March 2011. This coach is a Noge Titanium HDH registered in 2009. It uses the MAN 18.480 HOCL chassis with the 235kW (480hp) MAN D2676 LOH engine. Based in Xunqueira de Ambía (Ourense), Empresa Gavilanes ¹ starts its activity in 1945. In 2011, it operates regular specialized services and occasional services with a fleet of 18 vehicles. Here, we see this splendid Noge Titanium away from home during a break on an occasional service. 

Presented as a prototype in the 2004 "FIAA" ², in Madrid, and available to operators since 2005, the eye-catching Noge Titanium can be matched with various chassis, in lengths from 40 ft to 49.2 ft, accommodating up to 71 passengers (71+1+1). In some contexts, the suffixes "HD" and "HDH" are found in the designation—they indicate the nominal height of the vehicle, 11.3 ft or 12.1 ft. In the image we see a HDH. As a note of interest for collectors of miniature buses and coaches, Otero Scale Model proposes a 1:87 scale version of the Noge Titanium. ●

Utiliza o chassis MAN 18.480 HOCL com o motor MAN D2676 LOH de 235kW (480hp). Baseada em Xunqueira de Ambía (Ourense), a Empresa Gavilanes ¹ inicia a sua actividade em 1945. Em 2011, opera serviços regulares especializados e serviços ocasionais com uma frota de 18 veículos. Aqui, vemos este esplêndido Noge Titanium longe de casa durante uma pausa num serviço ocasional. 

Apresentado como protótipo na "FIAA" 2004 ², em Madrid, e disponível para os operadores desde 2005, o apelativo Noge Titanium pode ser combinado com vários chassis, em comprimentos de 12,20 a 15 m, acomodando até 71 passageiros (71+1+1). Em alguns contextos, encontramos na designação os sufixos "HD" e "HDH"—indicam a altura nominal do veículo, 3,45 ou 3,70 m. Na imagem vemos um HDH. Como nota de interesse para os coleccionadores de autocarros em miniatura, a Otero Scale Model propõe uma versão do Noge Titanium na escala 1:87. ●
