Thetis, the sea nymph

The successor to the Fénix model, the Tétis, launched, I believe, in 2006, is, in my view, a balanced and quite appealing design. In it, in this design by André Domingues, we find some elements of the Fénix, duly evolved, and a surprising dialogue between the lines—nothing is lost, everything is found, everything has a pleasant sense of continuity. In this case, the Isidoro Duarte paint scheme subtly and elegantly highlights the whole ensemble. Unfortunately, in an exceptionally competitive market, Alfredo Caetano Tétis was the swan song for the Starbus manufacturer. However, the legacy of the beautiful swan, or sea nymph, Tétis, if we prefer, remains. Sucessor do modelo Fénix, o Tétis, lançado, segundo creio, em 2006, é, a meu ver, um desenho equilibrado e bastante apelativo. Nele, neste desenho de André Domingues, encontramos alguns elementos do Fénix, devidamente evoluídos e um surpreendente diálogo entre as linhas—nada se perde, tudo se encontra, tudo tem um agradável sentido e continuidade. Neste caso, o esquema de pintura da Isidoro Duarte destaca com subtil cumplicidade e elegância todo o conjunto. Infelizmente, num mercado excepcionalmente competitivo, o Alfredo Caetano Tétis terá sido o canto do cisne para o fabricante Starbus. Ficou, todavia, o legado do bonito cisne, ou ninfa do mar, Tétis, se assim preferirmos.
