DouroAzul "Trafaria Praia" – Hanseatische Werft

Tour boat operated by DouroAzul seen on the Tejo River moored to its temporary pier next to Cais do Sodré, Lisboa, in June 2014. This tour boat, named Trafaria Praia and registered LX-3175-TL, is completed by the Hanseatische Werft in 1960, yard number 12. Steel hull and superstructure. It has an overall length of 92.4 ft and can accommodate around 100 passengers. It uses a Deutz RV 6 M 536 main engine  ¹  and a fixed pitch propeller, reaching a top speed of around 10 knots. This tour boat is originally a Typ IIIc ferry operated by HADAG, the Pöseldorf . Delivered in 1960, it is used in Germany for services in the Hamburger Hafen (Port of Hamburg). After arriving in Portugal in 1996, it is renamed Trafaria Praia  and used in the Belém–Porto Brandão–Trafaria regular service. An identical ferry, the Sülldorf , delivered by the Scheel & Jöhnk Schiffswerft to HADAG in 1959 is also acquired, renamed S. Paulus and used in tourist services. Both are added to the Class...
