REBONAVE "Monforte" – Astilleros Zamakona
Tugboat operated by REBONAVE seen on the Tejo River moored next to Doca de Alcântara, Lisboa , in July 2023. This tugboat, named "Monforte" and registered PT-104898-RC, is built in Spain by Astilleros Zamakona (Bilbao) ¹ , completed in 1995 with yard number 319 and originally delivered to Remolcadores de Barcelona named "Montjoi". It has an overall length of 88.6 ft and is equipped with two 1325 kW (1801 hp) ² Ulstein Bergen KRMB-6 main engines and Schottel SRP 1010 ducted azimuth thrusters , providing a tractive effort ³ of 45 tons (mt). Two water/foam monitors. Top speed is 11 knots. Established in 1989 and based in Setúbal , REBONAVE ⁴ provides towage services, maritime assistance and rescue operations. In 2024 the fleet comprises 3 ocean-going tugs and 7 coastal tugs.
