It has an overall length of 39.4 ft. It features a self-supporting structure, air suspension and (presumably) uses the 245 kW Prestolite TM4 TZ368XSPE300WH permanent magnet synchronous electric motor powered by a CATL LFP (422 kWh) lithium-iron phosphate battery. Established in 2022, Carris Metropolitana – ALSA Todi ¹ operates since 2022 regular services in the municipalities of Alcochete, Montijo, Moita, Palmela, and Setúbal, and provides the respective connections to Barreiro and Lisboa. Electric bus temporarily operated by Carris with the support of CaetanoBus seen at Cais do Sodré, Lisboa, in December 2016. This electric bus is a Caetano e.City Gold registered in 2016. It has an overall length of 39.4 ft and can accommodate up to 88 passengers (35 seated). It uses a 160 kW (218 hp) Siemens synchronous electric motor. A pack of batteries with a total capacity of 86 kWh gives this Caetano e.City Gold an operating range of approximately 50 miles. Optionally, a pack of batteries with a total capacity of 250 kWh can extend it up to approximately 124 miles. Here, we see this Caetano e.City Gold on route 758, Cais do Sodré–Portas de Benfica. Electric bus temporarily operated by the Câmara Municipal de Lisboa with the support of CaetanoBus seen at Praça do Comércio in December 2011. This electric bus is a COBUS 2500 EL registered in 2011. It has an overall length of 39.4 ft and can accommodate 23 seated passengers (4 on flip-up seats), 1 passenger in a wheelchair and 42 standees. Conceptually an airport apron bus with full low-floor and front wheel drive, the COBUS 2500 EL can be adapted for use on urban areas due to its smaller dimensions – width of 100.4 in and overall lengths from 29.6 to 39.4 ft. It has an aluminum body (CO-BOLT system) assembled on a modular chassis. The front module contains the 150 kW (204 hp) UQM PowerPhase 150 synchronous electric motor. A pack of batteries with a total capacity of 150 kWh gives the COBUS 2500 EL an operating range of approximately 75–99 miles.
