Electric bus operated by Carris Metropolitana – ALSA Todi seen next to the Terminal Fluvial do Seixal in March 2026. This electric bus with fleet number 12078 is a Zhongtong LCK6126EVG-2 registered in 2023 and included in a series of 44 units, 12055–12098, placed in service in 2023. It has an overall length of 39.4 ft. It features a self-supporting structure, air suspension and (presumably) uses the 245 kW Prestolite TM4 TZ368XSPE300WH permanent magnet synchronous electric motor powered by a CATL LFP (422 kWh) lithium-iron phosphate battery. Established in 2022, Carris Metropolitana – ALSA Todi ¹ operates since 2022 regular services in the municipalities of Alcochete, Montijo, Moita, Palmela, and Setúbal, and provides the respective connections to Barreiro and Lisboa. It also offers specialized regular services and occasional services. The fleet displays the yellow paint scheme common to the four operational areas of Carris Metropolitana. Here, on a radiant spring afternoon, we see this Zhongtong LCK6126EVG-2 during a brief stop next to the Terminal Fluvial do Seixal.

Introduced by Zhongtong in 2019, the N series of urban electric buses comprises four versions with different lengths: N8, N10, N12, and N18 (articulated). All versions have self-supporting structures and air suspensions and use permanent magnet synchronous electric motors and state-of-the-art lithium-iron phosphate batteries. The series is complemented by the N12 Dual-Source version, which can operate as a trolleybus, powered from the overhead network or autonomously from the battery. With a strong presence in China, it is currently possible to find N series electric buses in other countries, such as Denmark, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Portugal, with the LCK6126EVG-2 version. As a note of interest for modelers, Masterpiece Collectibles offers a Zhongtong N12 operated in Singapore (right-hand drive and three doors) in 1:76 scale. ●

Aqui, numa radiante tarde de Primavera, vemos este Zhongtong LCK6126EVG-2 durante uma breve pausa junto ao Terminal Fluvial do Seixal.

Com uma forte presença na China, é actualmente possível encontrar os autocarros eléctricos da série N noutros países, como na Dinamarca, nos Emirados Árabes Unidos, no Egipto, e em Portugal, com a versão LCK6126EVG-2. Como nota de interesse para modelistas, a Masterpiece Collectibles propõe um Zhongtong N12 operado em Singapura (volante à direita e três portas) na escala 1:76. ●

Carris 2443 – Caetano City Gold MAN 2KD

This bus with fleet number 2443 is a Caetano City Gold MAN 2KD registered in 2005 and included in a series of 50 units, 2401–2450, placed in service in 2005–2006. It has an overall length of 39.4 ft and can accommodate 35 seated passengers and 44 standees (35+44+1). Esteban Urban 90 seats. It uses the MAN 18.280 HOCL-NL chassis with the 206 kW (280 hp) MAN D0836 LOH engine. Transtejo "Algés" – FBM Marine TransCat

Ferry operated by Transtejo  seen on the Tejo River arriving at Terminal Fluvial do Seixal in July 2019. This ferry of the catamaran type, named "Algés" and registered LX-3168-TL, is an FBM Marine TransCat completed in 1995, yard number 1422. Aluminum hull and superstructure. It has an overall length of 147.6 ft and can accommodate 496 passengers (496+4). Fainsa Arianne seats. It uses two 960 kW (1287 hp)  Deutz MWM TBD 616 V16 main engines and two Lips water jets, and can operate in just 6.6 ft of water. Service speed is 22 knots.
