Carristur 1732 – Marcopolo Viale


Double-deck sightseeing bus operated by Carristur/Yellow Bus seen at Praça D. Pedro IV, Lisboa, in June 2014. This double-deck sightseeing bus with fleet number 1732 is a Marcopolo Viale registered in 2005. Originally a transit bus operated by Carris (1701–1733-series, delivered in 2005), in 2014 it is converted by Liderbus into a double-deck sightseeing bus. It has an overall length of 39.4 ft and can accommodate 63 seated passengers, 10 standees and 1 passenger with reduced mobility (63+10+1PRM+1). Estéban Urban 90 seats. Remotely operated sliding roof. This bus uses a Volvo B7R LE chassis with the 184 kW (250 hp) Volvo D7C engine. Owned by Carris and based in Lisboa, Carristur operates regular specialized services and occasional services with buses, coaches and streetcars recognizable under the brand "Yellow Bus". In partnership with Transtejo, Carristur also operates cruises on the Tejo River under the brand "Yellow Boat". Here, we see this Marcopolo Viale going through downtown Lisboa on a regular hop-on/hop-off service. In 2020, Carristur/Yellow Bus operates two hop-on/hop-off sightseeing tours in Lisboa – "Belém Lisbon Bus Tour" and "Modern Lisbon Bus Tour" with double-deck sightseeing buses, complemented by the "Hills Tramcar Tour" (the red trams) and the "Yellow Boat River Tour" featuring the S. Paulus. ●

Originalmente um autocarro urbano operado pela Carris (série 1701–1733, entregue em 2005), em 2014 é convertido pela Liderbus num autocarro panorâmico de dois pisos. Tem um comprimento total de 12 m e pode acomodar 63 passageiros sentados, 10 passageiros em pé e 1 passageiro com mobilidade reduzida (63+10+1PMR+1). Assentos Estéban Urban 90. Tejadilho deslizante operado à distância. Este autocarro utiliza um chassis Volvo B7R LE com o motor Volvo D7C de 184 kW (250 hp). Detida pela Carris e baseada em Lisboa, a Carristur opera serviços regulares especializados e serviços ocasionais com autocarros e eléctricos reconhecíveis sob a marca "Yellow Bus". Em parceria com a Transtejo, a Carristur opera também cruzeiros no Rio Tejo sob a marca "Yellow Boat". Aqui, vemos este Marcopolo Viale a passar pela baixa de Lisboa num serviço regular hop-on/hop-off. After the disastrous choice of the British operator VODAFONE as my internet provider, which sent my connectivity back into the dark ages and whose mediocre or non-existent service affected five months of publications (September, October, November, December and January), it is finally possible to bypass the obstacle with the support of an interested party. The return to normality should occur from February 20th, closing with sixteen publications the cycle dedicated to passenger vessels in regular or tourist service on the Tejo River. As a note of interest, partly motivated by this disastrous experience with the British operator VODAFONE, I will soon launch a new digital space –  UNPLEASANT | LX . It will be interesting. By the way, the problem reported to the operator VODAFONE in August 2023 is still unsolved in February March April 2024 . Literally, unbelievable. Carris 2443 – Caetano City Gold MAN 2KD

Bus operated by Carris seen on Avenida Infante Dom Henrique, Lisboa, in May 2019. This bus with fleet number 2443 is a Caetano City Gold MAN 2KD registered in 2005 and included in a series of 50 units, 2401–2450, placed in service in 2005–2006. It has an overall length of 39.4 ft and can accommodate 35 seated passengers and 44 standees (35+44+1). Esteban Urban 90 seats. It uses the MAN 18.280 HOCL-NL chassis with the 206 kW (280 hp) MAN D0836 LOH engine. As a note of interest, the 2451–2500-series, placed in service in 2006, uses the same MAN 18.280 HOCL-NL chassis, but combined with a Marcopolo Viale body.
