Resende 1040 – IVECO Magelys

Successor to the Renault/Irisbus Iliade in 2007 and the IVECO/Irisbus Domino in 2011, the Irisbus Magelys is a coach featuring a self-supporting body with an audacious design, offering a large glass surface. We can find it in both touring services and in regular long-distance services. Produced from 2007 to 2019, it will initially be offered in three versions – HD (High Deck), with 40 ft or 42 ft, and HDH (High Deck [extra] High), with 3 axles and 45.3 ft, offering expanded in 2010 with the Pro version, aimed at regular long-distance services. In 2013, the Magelys assumes the IVECO identity. The longest version is discontinued and the remaining versions are offered in three equipment and finish levels – Lounge, Pro and Line. The IVECO engines, mounted longitudinally at the rear, are offered in three options – initially, 330 hp (242 kW) Cursor 8 and 331 hp (450 kW) Cursor 10 and, from 2013, 294 hp (400 kW) Cursor 9. In 2016, the IVECO Magelys Pro is awarded the title of "International Coach of the Year". Despite its qualities and its bold and appealing design, the Irisbus/IVECO Magelys will remain an unusual presence on European roads, progressively losing ground to competitors such as the Mercedes-Benz Travego or the Setra TopClass. In 2020, its place in the IVECO range is taken by the versatile IVECO Evadys. ●

Em 2013, o Magelys assume a identidade IVECO. A versão mais longa é descontinuada e as restantes versões são propostas em três níveis de equipamento e acabamento – Lounge, Pro e Line. Os motores IVECO, montados longitudinalmente à retaguarda, são propostos em três opções – inicialmente, Cursor 8 de 330 hp (242 kW) e Cursor 10 de 331 hp (450 kW) e, a partir de 2013, Cursor 9 de 294 hp (400 kW). Em 2016, o IVECO Magelys Pro é distinguido com o título de "International Coach of the Year". Apesar das suas qualidades e do seu estilo audacioso e apelativo, o Irisbus/IVECO Magelys permanecerá uma presença pouco habitual nas estradas europeias, perdendo progressivamente terreno para concorrentes como o Mercedes-Benz Travego ou o Setra TopClass. Em 2020, o seu lugar na gama IVECO é assumido pelo versátil IVECO Evadys. ●
