FRS Portugal "Hanseblick" – Schiffswerft Bolle AquaCabrio


Tour boat operated by FRS Portugal seen on the Tejo River at Doca da Marinha in July 2023. This tour boat of the monohull type, named "Hanseblick" and registered ENI 4807940, is built in Germany by Schiffswerft Bolle ¹ and completed in 2008 ². Aluminum hull and superstructure. It has an overall length of 122.6 ft ² and can accommodate up to 160 guests. It is equipped with two 189 kW (257 hp) ² main engines and two fixed pitch propellers. Top speed is 11 knots. This vessel features a sliding (or telescopic) panoramic top, a distinctive feature of the "AquaCabrio" concept developed by Schiffswerft Bolle. Originally operated in Germany by the Weiße Flotte (Stralsund), subsidiary of the Förde Reederei Seetouristik (FRS), the "Hanseblick" comes to Portugal in 2021, becoming a familiar presence on the Tejo River. 

The "Hanseblick" belongs to the interesting "AquaCabrio" family of vessels, developed by Schiffswerft Bolle in Neu-Derben, Germany. The distinctive sliding (or telescopic) panoramic top is harmoniously combined with specific customer requirements, producing unique vessels such as the large and refined 147.6 ft "Bohemia Rhapsody" or the 242.8 ft "Grand Bohemia", both operated by Prague Boats, or the more utilitarian 105 ft "Wassertaxi 3", intended for regular service and operated by Potsdamer Wassertaxi. The reduced height of the "AquaCabrio" family of vessels allows them to pass under many of the bridges found on European rivers and canals.

Established in 2021 and based in Lisboa, FRS Portugal ³, a subsidiary of FRS, proposes sightseeing tours and special events aboard the versatile "Hanseblick". Here, we surprise the vessel moored at Doca da Marinha, awakening for another memorable day on the Tejo River. The name "Hanseblick" ⁴ pays tribute to a popular Norddeutscher Rundfunk television show. ●

After the disastrous choice of the British operator VODAFONE as my internet provider, which sent my connectivity back into the dark ages and whose mediocre or non-existent service affected five months of publications (September, October, November, December and January), it is finally possible to bypass the obstacle with the support of an interested party. The return to normality should occur from February 20th, closing with sixteen publications the cycle dedicated to passenger vessels in regular or tourist service on the Tejo River. This bus with fleet number 2443 is a Caetano City Gold MAN 2KD registered in 2005 and included in a series of 50 units, 2401–2450, placed in service in 2005–2006.
