Carristur 102 – CAMO Grande Citadino


Bus operated by Carristur seen at Praça Marquês de Pombal, Lisboa, in September 2011. This bus with fleet number 102 is a CAMO Grande Citadino registered in 2007 and included in a series of 7 units, 100–106, placed in service in 2007–2008. It has an overall length of 39.4 ft and is configured for the Aerobus services with additional luggage space. It uses the Volvo B7R LE chassis with the 213 kW (290 hp) Volvo D7E engine. Owned by Carris and based in Lisboa, Carristur operates regular specialized services and occasional services with buses, coaches and streetcars recognizable under the brand Yellow Bus. In partnership with Transtejo, Carristur also operates cruises on the Tejo River under the brand Yellow Boat. Here, we see this fully loaded CAMO Grande Citadino on regular specialized service 91, Aerobus Aeroporto–Cais do Sodré. As far as I am aware, in 2015 or 2016 this 102 is converted by Liderbus into a double-deck sightseeing bus.

The Volvo B7R LE chassis is used on low-entry buses with the engine mounted at the rear. Voith or ZF gearboxes. It can be found with a variety of bodies, including the Volgren Optimus in Australia, the Wright Eclipse 2 in the United Kingdom, and the Caetano City Gold and CAMO Citadino in Portugal. B7R LE denotes a low-entry (B7R LE, låg entré) bus chassis (B7R LE, buss) with the engine mounted longitudinally at the rear (B7R LE, längdsmonterad bakmotor). The digit 7 (B7R LE) indicates this chassis uses an engine with a nominal displacement of 7 liters, in this case of 7 145 cm³. As a note of interest, on Volvo complete buses and coaches the digits 7, 8 and 9 denote, respectively, a city bus (7xxx, stadsbuss), an intercity bus (8xxx, intercitybuss) and a tourist coach (9xxx, turistbuss).

The CAMO Grande Citadino is a low-entry bus body, used by Carris since 2005. ●

Este autocarro com o número de frota 102 é um CAMO Citadino registado em 2007 e incluído numa série de 7 unidades, 100–106, colocada em serviço em 2007–2008. Tem um comprimento total de 12 m e é configurado para o serviço Aerobus com espaço adicional para bagagem. Utiliza o chassis Volvo B7R LE com o motor Volvo D7E de 213 kW (290 hp). Detida pela Carris e baseada em Lisboa, a Carristur opera serviços regulares especializados e serviços ocasionais com autocarros e eléctricos reconhecíveis sob a marca Yellow Bus. Em parceria com a Transtejo, a Carristur opera também cruzeiros no Rio Tejo sob a marca Yellow Boat. Aqui, vemos este CAMO Grande Citadino completamente cheio no serviço regular especializado 91, Aerobus Aeroporto–Cais do Sodré. Tanto quanto sei, em 2015 ou 2016 este102 é convertido pela Liderbus num autocarro panorâmico de dois pisos.

O chassis Volvo B7R LE é usado em autocarros de entrada rebaixada com o motor montado à retaguarda. Caixas de velocidades Voith ou ZF. Pode ser encontrado com uma variedade de carroçarias, incluindo o Volgren Optimus na Austrália, o Wright Eclipse 2 no Reino Unido, e os Caetano City Gold e CAMO Citadino em Portugal. After the disastrous choice of the British operator VODAFONE as my internet provider, which sent my connectivity back into the dark ages and whose mediocre or non-existent service affected five months of publications (September, October, November, December and January), it is finally possible to bypass the obstacle with the support of an interested party. The return to normality should occur from February 20th, closing with sixteen publications the cycle dedicated to passenger vessels in regular or tourist service on the Tejo River. As a note of interest, partly motivated by this disastrous experience with the British operator VODAFONE, I will soon launch a new digital space –  UNPLEASANT | LX . It will be interesting. Carris 2443 – Caetano City Gold MAN 2KD

Bus operated by Carris seen on Avenida Infante Dom Henrique, Lisboa, in May 2019. This bus with fleet number 2443 is a Caetano City Gold MAN 2KD registered in 2005 and included in a series of 50 units, 2401–2450, placed in service in 2005–2006. It has an overall length of 39.4 ft and can accommodate 35 seated passengers and 44 standees (35+44+1). Esteban Urban 90 seats. It uses the MAN 18.280 HOCL-NL chassis with the 206 kW (280 hp) MAN D0836 LOH engine. As a note of interest, the 2451–2500-series, placed in service in 2006, uses the same MAN 18.280 HOCL-NL chassis, but combined with a Marcopolo Viale body. Some sources consider these two batches a single series, 2401–2500.
