This diesel-electric locomotive with fleet number 1935 and named " Cidade do Barreiro " is built under license from Alsthom by SOREFAME ² in 1981, included in a series of 17 units placed in service by the Caminhos de Ferro Portugueses. These units preserve part of the genetic code of the SNCF A1AA1A 68500 series, but benefit from a more appealing " Nez cassé " ("broken nose") appearance derived from the SNCF CC 72000 series (1967–1974).
